The JHQ, Rheindahlen, Germany, 3D Model has been COMPLETED!
For over a year now I have been working on the creation of a 3D-Model of JHQ using some clever software, Sketchup. I have now completed ALL of the many buildings on JHQ when it was closed down in 2013. I have been supported by Rudolf Bueschges, author of the book “Gebaeude des Joint Headquarters”, who has provided helpful information regarding details and images of many of the buildings. It’s interesting how many of the few JHQ images that there are on the internet usually feature the front of the building but seldom the back or sides of the various buildings which has made the task more difficult.
Click on the map below for access to an Interactive Map that will allow you to view short videos of every building on JHQ in 2013.
Clicking on a building outline on the map will display a short video of the 3D Model of the selected building. The map is best viewed in “Full Screen” mode (button located at the top right of screen). To exit “Full Screen” mode simple press the “Esc” key on your keyboad, “swipe down” on the screen of an Ipad or, if shown, on a big “X” at the top of the screen.
